With a beautiful sunset, Wine Week began in the main Lobby

Our master of ceremonies was Andrey Ivanov, one of the 274 Master Sommeliers globally. Based in San Francisco, California and the Director of Wholesale accounts for the United States and Mexico for Blisswine Imports.

Our first event started the Wine Week around delicatessen, canapes, and meticulously curated wines for the occasion. These wines included a selection of red and white wines from Portugal, which provided freshness in a sophisticated ambiance. The Master Sommelier Andrey Ivanov, who has been promoting for five years the relationship between clients and the vineyards he represents, guided our guests on an oenological journey to Portugal “for its culinary traditions, for its drinking traditions and history.”

For Andrey to be a Sommelier represents how everything is linked to our history as humanity unites. It contains some history, geography, sociology, psychology, botany, and chemistry. – Besides, he also tells us that – “It is an interdisciplinary field which has a unique combination that if you like interacting with people, experiencing new things and meeting people, it can be your ideal job.”

Light bites

That is why Andrey lives his dream. For the second night, the Austrian and Georgian wines sparkled amid a starry night with live jazz and unique melodies from the sea on the Umi terrace. These drinks were followed by selected pizzas, tapas, and desserts to complement the personalized tasting experience.

The small details of care and sanitation processes, such as the delivery of sanitizing gel, the pristine cleanliness in each consumption center allowed people to feel a safe environment to live the Wine Week.

Wine Week Canapes

In the middle of the Wine Week, the Nobu Restaurant tasting menu allowed our guests to an omakase experience. To allow themselves to be pampered by our Chefs, with a series of dishes inspired by the aromas, textures, and flavors of the seven selected wines.

Finally, the tasting night at Pacific Restaurant highlighted the wines from Chile, Austria, Italy, and Portugal. Each texture, color, and sensations brought to the table by these wines included a touch to the intimate atmosphere that all our guests lived.
